Being an artist while also being a new mom put me into a creative predicament I had never been in before. I feel more artistically inspired and invigorated than I have ever felt while also having the least amount of time, ability or energy to act on this feeling or make work. So when I can, I act on any creative impulses.

As a person who exclusively breastfeeds, I have an ever growing photo album of my child feeding at my breast. The impulse to capture this intimate act is one that I share with many of my fellow breast and chest feeding peers. My child and I have had a complicated and challenging breastfeeding journey so I find myself very drawn to documenting those calm and beautiful moments.

Created in a dark room, on my phone while holding a sleeping baby, this work comes from a place of wanting to both share and hide this intimacy.
